  It's a 253 yrs old heritage office. Mainly topographical maps are prepared here. Open series maps are sold to public as well as some political maps and guide maps. Precise control points are supplied from this office as indented by different organisation. Different types of hydro projects are surveyed and prepare maps. From field survey to final printing of maps are done here in all respect. If you attend this office on 28th February every year (entry open for all) celebrated as Science Day you can watch the all the different steps followed to print the maps from the scratch. That is Arial photographs, field survey, photogrammetry, digitisation with GIS and final printing. All employees are very talented, experianced and co-operated.
